Internship Opportunities

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
  • Help with the coordination of special events (may involve attending an event).
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of industry contact database.
  • Assist with website strategy and development.
  • Research program-related needs for various foundations.
  • Help foundation managers create relationships with corporations and social organizations.
  • Organize and distribute press packets and build clippings portfolio.
  • Find and follow-up on trade publication leads (e.g. Sports Business Daily, Philanthropy News Digest)
  • Help create quarterly newsletter.
  • Participate in executive staff meetings and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Provide general administrative support.
        

Qualifications:

Because of its high-profile client/donor base, The Giving Back Fund is pleased to be able to offer an outstanding opportunity for professional interns with an interest in the cross section of the sports and entertainment business, philanthropy and entrepreneurship. We are seeking individuals with computer knowledge (Microsoft XP Professional), some business/marketing experience, and a pleasant demeanor who would like to experience the activities and dynamic growth of a new venture. Other qualifications include:

  • Innovative and strategic work ideas and habits.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
  • Excellent researching, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of databases, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Desire to work in nonprofit environment.
  • Passion for social impact, helping others, and philanthropy.
  • Ability to work individually and part of a team.
  • Detail oriented.
