With an established goal of becoming the most prestigious non-profit Board in America by the year 2000, it is recognized the goal was achieved two years ahead of schedule. The Board of Boys & Girls Clubs is recognized as one of the most effective non profit Boards in the country.

In addition, his department produced the public service advertisement campaigns featuring B&GCA spokespersons Denzel Washington, Anna Kournikova, Shaquille O’Neal, General Colin Powell, Alex Rodriguez and Ken Griffey Jr.  He also worked closely with corporate partners on their ad campaigns to inculcate Boys & Girls Clubs messaging where possible. In 2006 Aschermann packaged and helped produce Denzel Washington’s first book A Hand to Guide Me, which has raised close to $1 million for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
