Blue State Digital (BSD) is a leader in online fundraising, advocacy, social networking, and constituency development programs for nonprofit organizations, political candidates and causes, and corporations. Since their founding in 2004, they’ve delivered successfully on the promise of the Internet to over 200 satisfied clients, including Obama for America, Wal-Mart Watch, the Alliance for Climate Protection, and the Communications Workers of America, raising over $500 million in contributions to date and generating tens of millions of online signups and actions.
Our programs rest on the foundation of the BSD Online Tools, a carefully architected technology suite that integrates tools for fundraising, advocacy, social networking, constituency development, and content management through a unified interface. Along with our technology services, we provide comprehensive Web design and development services and strategic campaign management.

Phillip has experience in all aspects of new media, on-line communication, branding, public policy, political campaigns and online grassroots community building.
He draws from more than 10 years experience crafting and integrating communication strategies that engage, empower and connect diverse and highly targeted constituents to candidates, causes and hot button issues.
Phillip comes to BSD after starting online departments for two nationally recognized political and policy shops in Southern California. He also worked on the 2007 California gubernatorial campaign, where he created the online communication strategy for Proposition 87, an alternative energy initiative where developed innovative online strategies that earned national media attention for its creative and cost-effective tactics.
Phillip leads BSD's Los Angeles office and specializes in film, sports and cause clients.
He and his wife, surfboards, and iPod live in Los Angeles.
