Jalen Rose Foundation Scholarships
The Jalen Rose Foundation awards five high school seniors a $10,000 college scholarship to
help them achieve their college dreams. The scholarships, totaling $50,000, are awarded to high
school seniors from Detroit, Jalen's home city.

“Everyone deserves the opportunity to earn a college degree, and through this program, more
Detroit students will achieve that goal,” said Rose. “There is no question in my mind that
education is the key to a successful future and I want to help the Detroit community make college
a priority for its kids. Someday, I hope to receive a scholarship application from every senior in
Detroit because this great city will only get better as more and more kids grow up and impact the
community in positive ways.”

A committee consisting of Rose, representatives of his Foundation and the Detroit Community
selected the scholarship recipients from over 200 applicants. Entries were based on academic
