McLean, Va. – Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar and Detroit Lions Linebacker Rocky McIntosh have teamed up to host the 2nd Annual Celebrity Servers Charity Dinner benefiting McIntosh’s A GRAN Foundation on Thursday, May 8. McIntosh and his former Washington Redskins teammates take on the kitchen where they’ll pass plates instead of footballs, donning aprons instead of jerseys – all for a great cause. Local media personalities are expected to hang up their microphones for an evening and join the fun as “servers.”

The celebration where guests can visit with and be served by current and former Washington Redskins players such as Reed Doughty, Ricky Ervin, Leonard Hankerson, Charles Mann, Rocky McIntosh, Brandon Meriweather, Antwaan Randle El, Fred Smoot, Darryl Sharpton, Nick Sundberg and Darrel Young includes a cocktail reception and an exceptional three-course meal paired with fine wines.* In addition to great food, wine and company, the event will feature an exciting viewing party of the NFL Draft as well as live and silent auctions.

Tickets for the evening are sold out. Complimentary valet parking will be provided. While guests are guaranteed a fun evening, all proceeds will benefit A GRAN Foundation. A GRAN was founded with the mission to provide youth with the skills to embrace learning, lead healthy lives, and mentor others in the community. The central program “Rocky’s Road” is conducted at Yorkshire Elementary in Manassas, Va.

Rocky’s Road tracks the evolution of kindergartners who have been identified as needing more support. A GRAN works with them to integrate a customized healthy mind and healthy body curriculum through daily workbooks, weekly activities and bi-monthly check-ins with their parents. In addition, program participants are periodically treated to educational and fun field trips such as museums, zoos and science fairs.

This event is sponsored by Virginia Heritage Mortgage.
